Today was the ‘Simply Aston Martin’ event at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu. Owners of cars that wore the iconic badge, were able to display their vehicles for everyone to see. I was fortunate enough to attend and marvel over some of the most desirable cars ever made.
Last weekend I was lucky enough to drive three truly extraordinary cars at one truly extraordinary place. On Saturday the 17th of March, I travelled to Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey (or better known as the Top Gear Test Track) for a driving experience. It was an amazing day that I’ll never forget.
Last Sunday, the first episode of the new series of Top Gear aired on BBC Two. As you can imagine, I was in front of the TV the second the clock turned 8:00 to watch it. Now, here’s my quick review of the episode and what I thought of it.

Unfortunately, in the UK we miss out on some cars that some other countries (like the US of A) get. It’s a real shame when you hear that a new car is being released, but then you find out that the only way of acquiring one is to either import it or move abroad. One of my dream cars is the 2015-2018 Ford Mustang (mainly because you can now get it in the UK). I’ve always loved Mustangs, even before Ford took them across the pond, and I’ve always loved customizing cars. So after the 2015 model was released, I started to imagine how I’d modify one. Looking around on some aftermarket websites, I found a few modifications for the 2015 onwards Mustang that I thought were pretty cool, and I’ve listed my 5 favourite ones here. They are ranked in order of must haves first to might haves last.
Coming soon to a TV screen near you will be the brand new series of Top Gear. Just recently, the show has released a trailer featuring many cars, a flying car, a modified tractor and much more. In my opinion, it looks very good. The trailer even hints at the return of what looks to be Chinese Stig. If you want, you can watch the trailer at the bottom of this post.
Recently with all the buzz around Fast & Furious Live, I’ve been thinking about the future of the franchise. Currently, we have 8 films, a theme park ride and a live show, just to name a few things the Fast franchise produces. The last movie broke records on release, making it clear that this is a franchise that doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon. So what’s next for Dom and the crew?
I have to admit, I have a love-hate relationship with the Forza franchise. From a technical stand point, every game they have produced has been masterfully crafted and polished. The driving physics, the graphics, the realism have all been spot on in my opinion. However, in saying that, there’s always a voice in the back of my head telling me otherwise. The problem Forza has involves the entire franchise and the formula it seems to have. And to be honest, it makes me worry for the future.
Yes, I know I’ve been posting about Mustangs for three posts in a row now, what with the Mustang Bullitt being announced and the Shelby GT500 being teased.
