New Mustang Bullitt – My Thoughts

2019-mustang-bullitt-5-1Showcased at the Detroit Auto Show, this is the new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Edition. It’s a more expensive, more powerful version of the 2018 Mustang GT, though no price or performance figures have been released yet. If you don’t already know, Bullitt is an old 1968 Steve McQueen movie with a very famous car chase scene in it. This new Bullitt Edition Mustang pays homage to that chase by¬†taking the iconic look of the classic Mustang McQueen drove in the film, and putting it on the modern Mustang. What you get from that is a very cool, retro car that you can tell is special.

The Legend Of Driver: San Francisco

April 23rd, 2011 @ 00:39:48Driver: San Francisco is one of the all-time great video games of the 21st century. Recently I was reminded of that when I was flicking through my subscriptions on YouTube, and found a video of someone playing it for the first time (I’ll put a link at the bottom of this post to the video that creator ‘Bourne’ has made, just if anyone wants to watch it). On viewing said video, I was reminded of how great this game was. I almost forgot about how many cool cars are in this game, or how much I loved the over-the-top fun driving physics, and so on. Not to mentioned the shift mechanic that allows for some good old-fashioned carnage. Trust me when I say Driver is one of a kind.

Top 3 Car Films

Baby driver subaru
The opening to Baby Driver – my personal favourite opening to a film in cinema history.

1. Baby Driver.

Just before I get into this list I want to specify there is no order. All three films choices are based on my own opinion and let me tell you it was hard enough to narrow it down to just three. Anyway, onto my first film, Baby Driver. Probably the most stylish out of all the movies on this list, Baby Driver combines slick driving and action with one of the best soundtracks in cinema history.

American Muscle Vs JDM Cars

The age-old question of which is better, American Muscle or JDM (Japanese cars), superchargers or turbochargers, power or handling. It seems like the debate has been going on for centuries upon centuries. When will we find an answer? Well actually, in my opinion, there is no answer. Here’s why…

Rise Of The Electric Cars

What you’re looking at is the upcoming electric-powered Tesla Roadster (although you probably already knew that with all the media coverage it’s had). And in truth it deserves all the coverage and attention. The Roadster is like nothing we’ve ever seen before. This car makes Tesla’s own Model S and X look like golf buggies, especially in the performance department. As a comparison, the top of the range Model S does 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds, which is already very quick. But the Roadster? 0-60mph takes just 1.9 seconds. To put it into perspective, this tiny Tesla can accelerate to 100mph faster than a 370Z gets to 60mph. Records are bound to be broken. However, I don’t want to solely focus on just the Roadster as I think it’s already been talked about enough. Let’s look at the bigger picture.

Top 5 Most Anticipated Cars Of 2018

2018-aston-martin-vantage-251. Aston Martin Vantage

First on my list is the new baby Aston, a true modern sports car.¬† Under the bonnet is a twin-turbo charged AMG V8 with over 500bhp that’s bound to wake the neighbours in the morning, and that’s in addition to an almost 50/50 weight distribution due to the engine being mounted just in front of the driver. On paper the Vantage already sounds both fun and fast so hopefully it will be able to carry on and improve upon the previous car’s epic legacy.
