Top 5 most anticipated cars of 2021

Happy new year, petrolheads! That’s right, 2020 is finally over – thankfully – and 2021 is here, bringing with it plenty of new cars to talk about.

However, with a lot on its way, it can be hard to digest every model hitting showroom floors in the new year. As an enthusiast, surely there are certain cars bound to peak interest more than others?

A petrolhead indoors: five ways enthusiasts can stay entertained at home

Here in the UK, the coronavirus pandemic has meant we’ve been in lockdown since March 23rd. Though measures are currently being eased, staying indoors as much as you can is still being advised.

As a car enthusiast, being indoors isn’t particularly ideal. I haven’t been out driving my car anywhere near the amount of times I used to and driving is, as you can imagine, something I very much enjoy. In speaking to three fellow motoring addicts, we all agreed it’s not an amazing time to be a petrolhead.

Motoring journalist Ryan Hirons said: “I guess right now it’s really a bad time to be anything but especially a car enthusiast if your enjoyment relies on driving your car, going to car shows and generally doing stuff with your car.”

However, there are still plenty of home-based activities car enthusiasts can do to stay entertained while satisfying their motoring interests at the same time. Here are five great examples…

London Motor Show 2018

IMG_0312 (1).JPG

On Saturday 19th May, I went to the 2018 London Motor Show which took place in, you guessed it, London. The event showcased some amazing cars for people to look at while wishing they had bigger bank accounts. Though joking aside, I really enjoyed it, even though it wasn’t exactly what I expected. I’ll explain.

Cars We Miss Out On In The UK

Unfortunately, in the UK we miss out on some cars that some other countries (like the US of A) get. It’s a real shame when you hear that a new car is being released, but then you find out that the only way of acquiring one is to either import it or move abroad. With that slightly depressing thought in mind, we are now going to look at all the cars you can’t get if you live in England. Enjoy…

Top 5 Mods For A Mustang

fordmustang2016-05

One of my dream cars is the 2015-2018 Ford Mustang (mainly because you can now get it in the UK). I’ve always loved Mustangs, even before Ford took them across the pond, and I’ve always loved customizing cars. So after the 2015 model was released, I started to imagine how I’d modify one. Looking around on some aftermarket websites, I found a few modifications for the 2015 onwards Mustang that I thought were pretty cool, and I’ve listed my 5 favourite ones here. They are ranked in order of must haves first to might haves last.

Fast & Furious – Where to go next?

fate-of-the-furious-header-840x420Recently with all the buzz around Fast & Furious Live, I’ve been thinking about the future of the franchise. Currently, we have 8 films, a theme park ride and a live show, just to name a few things the Fast franchise produces. The last movie broke records on release, making it clear that this is a franchise that doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon. So what’s next for Dom and the crew?

2019 Shelby Mustang GT500, Is This It?

gt500-1-657x360Yes, I know I’ve been posting about Mustangs for three posts in a row now, what with the Mustang Bullitt being announced and the Shelby GT500  being teased. However, recently there have been many images of the GT500 going around on the internet and on social media, so I thought it would be necessary to at least mention them. Now, you must know these are not leaked images, but rather renderings. The one above I think will be closest to the real thing, and here’s why…

2019 Shelby Mustang GT500 Teased

gt500-1516111435I wanted to keep this post short and sweet, just talking a little bit about the news on the 2019 Shelby Mustang GT500 we have received. As at the time of me writing this, Ford has teased the car at the Detroit Auto Show. In the teaser video (there will be a link to it at the bottom of this post), there are a few shots of different parts of the new GT500, such as the wheels in the picture above. It was a pretty basic video, mainly to drum up some hype for the snake-badged beast’s return. Ford did want to make one thing about it very clear though…

New Mustang Bullitt – My Thoughts

2019-mustang-bullitt-5-1Showcased at the Detroit Auto Show, this is the new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Edition. It’s a more expensive, more powerful version of the 2018 Mustang GT, though no price or performance figures have been released yet. If you don’t already know, Bullitt is an old 1968 Steve McQueen movie with a very famous car chase scene in it. This new Bullitt Edition Mustang pays homage to that chase by taking the iconic look of the classic Mustang McQueen drove in the film, and putting it on the modern Mustang. What you get from that is a very cool, retro car that you can tell is special.
